Becoming Whole
A 2-Hour Workshop in Seattle, WA
June 12, 2019
A skills based workshop integrating head & heart
In this 2 hour workshop you will investigate the impact of stress and learn tools to promote balance internally and externally.
This world is moving fast. Increasing demands on our time leave us stressed and out of balance. Our modern culture has been based on competitively and externally motivating one another to perform. This results in self-criticism, traps of comparison, stress, and anxiety. Come investigate an alternative with me.
This workshop will focus on cultivating wholeness in our modern world. You will learn skills to maintain your energy, power, and ease through the lens of Self-Compassion: the act of treating yourself with deep kindness. Research shows that self-compassion frees up energy you can direct towards living a vital life. It promotes healthy connection and is a significant motivator, increasing your courage to take risks and try new things. Not only will this impact your personal well-being; it will also improve relationships with partners, children, parents, colleagues…the list goes on.
The first part of this workshop will be a collaborative, lecture based format defining self-compassion and addressing why and how you might implement it into your everyday life (we will talk about the science of the heart!) You will learn evidence based tools to transform your internal dialogue & promote a feeling of security and wholeness. Woven throughout the workshop will be mindfulness and breath practices you can take home and utilize in everyday life. These practices directly impact the stress response and will promote ease and balance. Lastly we will complete a guided intention setting exercise to move towards an intentional, expansive life. Join us as we unveil and connect with our inner light, and then take your light into the world.
