The Experience

What is Transliterate?

Many of us want to demonstrate love and inclusivity
towards trans and non-binary people,
but don’t understand how to do so.

This workshop uses relationship building, self-inquiry and reflection, and interactive activities to build embodied compassion, learn language and best practices to work towards a world inclusive of trans and genderqueer people.

We will learn the latest definitions relating to gender (as well as why those definitions keep changing), and how to create an inclusive experience for all genders from pronouns to micro-aggressions (and what that means, anyways). Depending on time and what is most relevant for people in the room, we will go into systemic oppression of trans people, becoming aware of implicit bias, holding trans stories and trans pain, apologizing and acknowledging pain, and more.

Expect groundedness, mindfulness, embodiment, storytelling, laughter, and heart connection to hold the space together, as we learn how to build authentic relationship and allyship with trans and non-binary people.

Please note this is an introductory session, as this is typically a 4+ hour workshop.

"Justice is what love looks like in public,
just like tenderness is what love feels like in private."

Dylan Wilder Quinn
Trans Healer + Community Builder

Dylan Wilder Quinn (they/them pronouns) is a distracted Gemini with a deeply focused, organized double Virgo. Walking in from the worlds of outdoor education, camp counseling, trauma survival, and fighting oppression, they offer unique workshops based in play, healing, growth, and resilience. They lead workshops on collective liberation, consult on trans inclusion and undoing our whiteness, teach and read tarot, and provide trauma-informed healing sessions focusing on embodiment and neurobiology, all while living out of an off-grid tiny home. As broad as these topics may seem, they all orbit around one central star – manifesting another world that they know is possible, infused with connection, grounding, trauma healing, and care for each other.
